On Thursday, August 26, from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., please join Mission College students Katrina McCollough & Erin Clear as they share their first experience in scientific field research as San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory researchers at the Coyote Creek Field Station.

Their research project was guided under the mentorship of Dr. Jean Replicon, Biology department at Mission College, and sponsored by the STEMLink Project of the HSI-STEM grant. Twice a week over the summer, they had hands-on interaction collecting data from birds banded at the field station.

They used this data, along with two decades of historical field station data, to search for patterns that might be associated with the amount of rainfall.
