On Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at 7:30 P.M., Gillmor Center, Room 103, the Mission College Chorus, under the direction of John Ector (Christopher Pasillas, accompanist), will present its final performance of the Spring Semester,  "Wood, Glass, Metal:  The Sound of the Bay Area"

The concert will feature a highly diverse and eclectic survey of contemporary music from pop, rock, and various genres of motion picture soundtracks from the past four decades, arranged for choir. All the selections come from or creatively through the Bay Area, and includes the music of Journey, the Grateful Dead, and Metallica, interwoven with compositions from Motion Pictures by composers Basil Poledouris, Michael Kamen, John Ottman, Philip Glass, and Hans Zimmer.

The concert is free and open to the public (there is a nominal charge for visitors to park on the Mission College Campus, and free-will donations to the Mission Chorus are always gladly and graciously accepted, as the Chorus has no operating budget to cover the cost of purchasing sheet music or to pay our accompanist; proceeds collected will help offset these costs).
