Beginning January 31, 2018, and through February 28 2018, Mission College Health Occupations Department is proud to host the “A DAY IN THE LIFE OF RECOVERY” exhibit.
This is a groundbreaking exhibit which spotlights and presents real profiles of real people who have been diagnosed with a mental illness or substance use disorder and have shared their stories of recovery in the hope of reducing the stigma surrounding these illnesses.
To view the exhibit: Start at the beginning of the story as you get off the 2nd floor elevator or stairs of the Gillmor Center building follow the 11 standing easels which profile the stories of recovery. The sharing of these stories have been proven effective in reducing stigma which can prevent persons from seeking help.
